Beaufort hires Brewin director for investment team

Beaufort Investment Management (BIM) has recruited Brewin Dolphin assistant director Peter Cousins to join its investment team.

Cousins spent 17 years in Brewin Dolphin's Reigate office, where he managed discretionary and advisory investment portfolios.

In his new role, Cousins will advise high net worth private clients.

Wealth Manager cover-star Stewart Murray (pictured), who was appointed BIM chief executive in April said: ‘Peter’s role will be to advise high net worth private clients.

'We have an established proposition for financial advisers who wish to outsource their clients' investment portfolios.

'Peter has a successful track record of managing portfolios on behalf of private clients and those in the professional services, mainly on a discretionary basis, as well as providing advice when required.'

Cousins said his aim is to grow clients' wealth and 'provide the best level of financial assistance for their needs'.

He added: 'The increased wealth management offering is testament to the company’s ambitions to provide a high-level professional service which delivers excellent value to the client.'

BIM currently has some £700 million in client assets under management.

Brewin Dolphin has seen the departure of several senior managers and regional directors in recent months, after it launched a significant recruitment drive across the country.
