Basi's Onvestor joins SimplyBiz DB transfer referral panel

SimplyBiz has added Michael Basi's Onvestor to its defined benefit (DB) pension transfer referral panel.

Basi (pictured), who is director of Essex-based advice firm Basi & Basi Financial Planning, set up Onvestor to advise less profitable clients from other businesses. It has been offering DB transfer advice for two years.

SimplyBiz partnered with Onvestor last September, but has only just been added to its DB transfer referral panel. This panel helps advisers who do not offer DB transfer advice but still want to work with clients who are considering a transfer.

Basi said that joining the panel 'is a natural extension of our existing offering providing a solution for advice firms who refer clients who are not profitable for them to service to Onvestor for an outstanding advice experience'.

He added: 'It outlines that we are available for multiple types of client referral from partner firms, including in areas where the introducing firm may lack either the permissions or the appetite to provide this advice.'
