Asset managers: 'There is going to be a distribution revolution'

In footage not used in our original CEO tapes videos, five CEOs discuss how distribution will change in the future. Will 'distribution' be revolutionised by technology the same way that Spotify changed music or the Kindle changed publishing?

Over the course of the last few weeks we have bought you the edited highlights of a wide-roaming conversation between Citywire chair Lawrence Lever and five leading fund bosses.

New Model Adviser® grabbed the tapes and headed back into the cutting room to see what else was said. And we discovered some real gems.

In this footage (above) Investec Asset Management chief executive officer Hendrik du Toit predicts a 'distribution revolution.'

The resulting conversation led to some interesting analogies. Will 'distribution' be revolutionised by technology the same way that Spotify changed music or the Kindle changed publishing? Do join in the discussion in the comments box below.

The participants were:

Lawrence Lever, executive chairman, Citywire

Alexander S. Friedman, group chief executive, GAM Holding AG

Hendrik du Toit, chief executive officer, Investec Asset Management

Maarten Slendebroek, chief executive officer, Jupiter Asset Management

Euan Munro, chief executive, Aviva Investors
