About Simon Roberts
Simon Roberts' impressive performance shows that a degree in economics is not necessary to become a successful fund manager. He graduated in Metallurgy from Oxford in 1985 and went on to work for some of the City's top investment firms, including Fidelity, where he became a senior portfolio manager, and Schroders, where he was head of research. He joined Lazard in 1999 rose through the ranks to become head of UK equities, and then worked at BlueCrest Capital and NewSmith Capital Partners before joining BNP Paribas Investment Partners in February 2015 where he is now CIO of global equities in London.
