Peter van Rooyen is a portolio manager and chief investment officer at Dasym Investment Strategies. He has been with the company since the inception in 2000 and was responsible for the portfolio management of the Cyrte Global Fund, the Cyrte LatAm Fund and the Cyrte Africa Fund. Peter played an important role in the successful conclusion of the Brazil Telecom Fund in 2010, which delivered excellent investment returns. Peter van Rooyen holds a master’s degree in economics from Tilburg University in the Netherlands and is a certified European financial analyst.


The main objective of the Sub-Fund is to give Shareholders access to international financial markets whilst aiming at high performance and acting in accordance with the principle of risk spreading. The Sub-Funds target is to outperform the MSCI World TR Index. The Sub-Funds investment strategy focuses on changing consumer behaviour and is based on the philosophy that the reallocation of disposable income by consumers is the most important driver for stock price performance. The Sub-Fund invests globally and does not target a specific financial market nor a specific geographical region.
